WHAT CEO BOARD MEMBERS DO
Board members are active, engaged community leaders who volunteer their time and expertise to the operational oversight of our local CEO Program.
Facilitator Support: Board members provide ongoing support to the CEO Facilitator.
Event Planning: Board members plan and execute key CEO events, including investor and mentor socials, and the student trade show.
Student Recruitment & Selection: Board members organize recruitment efforts, engage with local schools, and oversee the selection of CEO students.
Mentorship Coordination: Board members recruit mentors, manage mentor-student pairings, and ensure mentor program success.
School Liaison: Board members maintain communication with school administrators to coordinate student participation and scheduling.
Investor Recruitment & Care: Board members recruit and maintain relationships with local investors, ensuring the program's financial sustainability.

Board MemberVice Chair Committees: Investor Recruitment & CareI have served on the board of the Jackson Economic Development Corporation for many years on various committees and was board president at one time. I have also been part of teaching Junior Achievment in the local grade school for many years. Several years ago I helped establish the Jackson Community Foundation. For 45 years I was employed at Ag-Chem who was bought out by AGCO and had many different responsiblities, and have recently retired. I have been married for 13 years to Sonja and we have 3 children and 7 grandchildren

Team MemberSecretary Committees: Facilitator Review / HireJoel is passionate about learning and leadership, and is excited to for the unique opportunity available to students in the CEO program. He also serves on the Windom School Board, and the SDSU Mechanical Engineering Advisory Council. After 17 years of engineering and leadership in the ethanol industry, Joel recently felt called to ministry and joined with Time to Revive. There he serves on the leadership and serves alongside and others to equip the church to do the word of ministry and fulfill the great commission. He blessed with a wife and four kids. Together they enjoy camping, travelling, and discovery new things.

PrincipalBoard MemberMichelle is the Principal for Mountain Lake High School. Michelle works to ensure students at MLHS have a quality education with variety of opportunities so they leave school college or career ready. When not involved in school-related activities and events, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family along with reading, playing piano, and puzzles. She and her husband Doug have 5 sons, 3 daughter-in-laws, and 2 grandchildren.

Director of Environmental ServicesBoard MemberJay is the Director of Environmental Services for New Fashion Pork. He oversees operations in 7 different states with primary responsibilties including regulatory compliance, legislative envolvement, new site development, environmental research, nutrient managment, emergency response, and public relations. Jay is passionate about the pork industry and is extemely active within state and national organizations. Jay is also engaged in his local community as a high school football coach and participating with several other local organizations.
Perry Olson
CEO/OwnerBoard Member Committees: Facilitator Review / HirePerry is the owner of Fortune Transportation. Fortune is a temperature controlled trucking business founded in Windom in 1980 by Perry's parents, Don and Sharon Olson. The company, now entering it's 5th decade of service, hauls products for such iconic regional brands as Scwhans Ice Cream, Blue Bunny Ice Cream, JenniO Turkey and Hormel Foods, along with other large global brands like Kraft, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Anheuser-Busch. Fortune has received numerous prestigous national safety awards over the last 43+ years including National Small Carrier of the year for ATA and TCA in 2021-22 as well as again in 2023-24. Perry has also been actively involved in the elk ranching industry for over 25 years serving meat, hunting and antler markets with excellent products. Perry has been actively involved with industry trade associations serving as Vice President of the MN Elk Producers Association as well as Chair of the MN Trucking Association 2023-24 in addition to State VP of the American Trucking Association, not to mention numerous local and regional committee positions. Perry is married with 4 children and 2 grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time pursuing elk, deer and fish in the wilderness areas of CO, MT and MN.

Mortgage OriginatorBoard Member Committees: Event Coordinator, MediaKim is an experienced mortgage lender with over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. She is passionate about helping people achieve their home ownership dreams whether that is purchasing, building, or refinancing. Kim is very active in her community serving on additional boards, helping to organize community events, teaching Sunday school and serving as the parent rep to her very active boy’s sporting events. In her free time Kim enjoys ice fishing in the winter, and biking, boating and floating in the summer months.
